  • Good overview. It's funny how protein seems to be the focus of attention in food and nutrition discussions around the web. The fact is, that you will get enough protein if you eat enough (normal amounts), even if it would be plants that are not that high in protein. How many people get sick and die from protein deficiency in the US each year? I suspect they are very few. What I hope would be focused on, are the nutrients in food that prevent heart-disease, cancer, diabetes and other leading killers. Almost all of these nutrients, you get from a whole-food, plant-based diet. Doctor M Greger's book, over at nutritionfacts.org turned me into a plant eater, and I do thank him for that.
