Even though I am not fond of White on White Kitchens, the walnut lower cabinets adds warmth! I also like the stainless appliances.
As for what to do with the area above the desk, I would put in some shelves for cookbooks (of course), and to put a small printer that you print recipes, notes for work, etc. also in the future the kids can do their homework there. Higher up on the wall you can place a painting, some other piece of art, or even a photos of the family, and/or a clock. As long as it looks nice to you! Remember you have to look at this area every day for many years to come. Also remember you can always change it if you want to! That is an idea too, Put shelves on the side for books and a printer, then in the middle you can put something you can change out as the seasons change. You can even put a small vase with some flowers in on one of the shelves. then hang some photos of the family, hang a wall clock, a small mirror, and a small painting. Then when the seasons change change the flowers in the vase and if you want you can change the photos of the family as the children grow!
The detailed examination of industry-specific challenges and opportunities adds practical value to the theoretical discussions.
