YES, Yes, Yes!! I totally agree especially about the knives and food processor. I love my processor and use it to make everything from cakes to cookies, to soups and sauces...can't live without it. I do love gadgets so would add a few more things like pressure cooker and slow cooker and for sure a colander/sieve or three. It is very important to drain pasta or to sift flour etc., i personally have 4 of different sizes
I would add a hand held blender and a mortar&pistil to this list!
If you have an extra-sharp knife, and you're not the extra-careful kind of person, I would advise buying a butcher glove.
Long story short: I wasn't careful with my super-sharp knife, cut deeply into my finger, severed my tendons and nerves and had to get surgery; I'm now facing several months of recovery (and out of the kitchen).
On the upside, my knife goes through meat like butter!
yeah you must use a safty glove if your knife very sharp...
